Between tuesday 10 december and friday 12 december, the European Forum on New Space Economy was held in Rome. Fiera di Roma organized the event together with the Amaldi Foundation. We had to be there, with our stand, in a context such as that of the Space Economy, where satellite data and innovative technologies in this sector represent one of the most significant chapters.
250 companies make the italian space economy sector, with a turnover of 1,6 billions. The European Space agency and the Italian Space Agency endorsed the fair, whos aim was to reunite in one place all the actors involved. Space economy was the focus of the event, but talks also included topics like innovation in european projects, international cooperation, and smart cities. Opening to other themes was foundamental beacause space economy isn’t a self-propelled sector: it finds solutions to earth’s problems by looking at them from space.
On 10th october, during the inauguration of Expo Forum, the Italian Minister of Education Francesco Fioramonti told reporters that “Europe plans to invest 16 billions on space” within Horizon Europe: 2021-2027.
Studiomapp was one of the startups directly interested in space economy. We were present all three days of the NSE Forum, a wonderful occasion to meet collegues and the maximum experts of the sector.
